Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) — 526 g
Citric acid — 263 g
Cornstarch or arrowroot — 132 g
Kaolin clay - 26 g
Epsom salt — 53 g
Mix separately, water phase:
Oil (apricot, jojoba, sweet almond) — 30 g (4%)
Polysorbate 80 — 5 g (1%) (optional, helps disperse oils & color, clean tub)
Optional:
Colorants
Essential oils (≤1%), 8g
Liquid binder:
Witch hazel or high-proof alcohol, sprayed slowly
Method:
Mix dry ingredients
Combine oil + polysorbate + EO
Spray liquid slowly while mixing
Texture = damp sand
Press into molds
Dry 24 hours
They pair beautifully with shampoo/conditioner sets.
